Situated on the A6 mid-way between Bedford and Kettering, Rushden is the fifth largest town in East Northamptonshire.

When the adjoining town of Higham Ferrers is included, the population is estimated at around 36,000. From its farming and 19th Century industrial roots, today’s Rushden is benefiting from a local regeneration project that is focussing on the town’s High Street alongside many new investment initiatives highlighted by the national ‘North Londonshire’ awareness generating campaign. Plans are in place for a £40m retail and leisure facility that will include shops, hotels a leisure centre and marina on the River Nene.

Recognising that such a large residential area had relatively little representation from quality Estate Agents, in early 2010 Andrew Simpson teamed up with local property expert Mark Weekley to open Simpson & Weekley. With the same offering of client commitment, unprecedented knowledge and access to the No.1 marketing network, within six months Simpson & Weekley became the local market leader.

With Rushden-Higham’s developing interests and attractive property prices, 2014 has seen the area become a draw for first-time-buyers and cash buying ex-renters, who are taking advantage of the many new mortgage products available. In 2010 I decided to open a new Estate Agency and partnered with Andrew Simpson giving us the added strength of the Simpson and Partners network. Every day is different, never boring and full of challenges, I am lucky enough to have a fantastic team that work tirelessly. I have lived in the town all my life, am married, we have a beautiful daughter, I play football for Rushden & Higham FC and am a leader at the Wesleyan Church.

I have been working in estate agency within both sales and lettings for approx. 27 years. I contacted Mark about joining Simpson and Weekley as I have known Mark for a number of years after previously working with him within another estate agents office. I have a very busy home life with 4 children all going in different directions at the same time, which is why I enjoy being within the Rushden office making sure the admin side runs smoothly and keep everyone happy. In my own time I really enjoy watching rugby, my son and step son both play for our local team, and on a Sunday morning I can be found on the side lines supporting them.

I am married and have two young children who keep me busy, but I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
